Conversation (in English) between Pauline Julier and Dr Sarah Burkhalter, SIK-ISEA Antenne romande, with listening session by Sandar Tun Tun

The exchange is dedicated to the new publication Pauline Julier: Inscribing Images on the Collective Retina (2024) from the interview series On Words by SIK-ISEA (Swiss Institute for Art Research). In conversation with Sarah Burkhalter, Pauline Julier provides information about her sources, themes and her view of the world. For the artist, the form of dialogue is a method that she repeatedly uses in her research. The publication also addresses our trust in narratives and poses the question of the extent to which narratives are a political terrain.

Sandar Tun Tun accompanies the discussion with a sonic, spatial and performative listening session. Based on the social and transgressive power of music, Sandar Tun Tun’s projects explore moments of reflection through dissonance and fragmentation.
