An entire group of works in the Aargauer Kunsthaus collection comprises pictures that show geometric shapes in different arrangements. Some compositions appear calm, others dynamic and moving, even though they are painted pictures. What might it look like if these forms were suddenly set in motion? In this workshop, participants will learn about the stop motion technique and animate simple geometric shapes. A fun game with colours and shapes in motion.
The workshop is led live by a facilitator via the ZOOM video chat function.
The computer should be in a well-lit place and have video capability. The participants need space on the floor next to it – it should also be well lit so that they can work.
These materials are required:
- Mobile phone with Stop Motion app (download before the start of the workshop)
- Chair (ideally with a flat seat that extends beyond the legs of the chair)
- White background (A3 if possible, can also be a large envelope)
- (Painter’s) tape
- Scissors
- Several pieces of coloured A4 paper (or coloured folders, newspaper) that you can cut up
