In the exhibition, the classes view object installations, organic-looking sculptures, collages and geometric shapes reminiscent of buildings and architecture. What are these wondrous clay structures? What shapes are they made up of? In another room, the pupils encounter a series of paper collages depicting improvised, temporary structures. In yet another room, everyday objects form an unusual tower from floor to ceiling. Cycle 1 classes work in groups to build the tallest tower possible using building blocks. In the studio, Cycle 1 and 2 pupils stamp a colourful fantasy building. From Cycle 3 onwards, the classes use collage techniques to construct creative architectural designs based on a theme of their own choosing or determined by drawing lots.
