Panel discussion. Neutrality and knowledge
Neutrality Model
CHF 10.–
Second panel discussion in the five-part series Neutrality and …
Co-curated by Denise Bertschi
Language: German
TicketsThe panel discussion will examine the close links between knowledge, neutrality and universality and scrutinise how supposedly neutral research work influences knowledge production. It will discuss which perspectives are favoured or suppressed by institutions such as collections, libraries and archives and whether genuinely neutral knowledge with global validity can exist. Guests from various fields, including Sacha Zala, historian and Director of the Diplomatic Documents of Switzerland Research Centre (Dodis), Denise Tonella, Director of the Swiss National Museum, and Gabriela Löffel, artist and represented in the exhibition Neutrality Model with her work Grammar of calculated ambiguity (2024), will shed light on these questions, while Roger de Weck, freelance journalist and former Director General of SRG, will moderate the discussion.
The discussion series addresses the changing significance of neutrality in the context of global politics and brings together expertise from the worlds of art, politics and science. Each event will shed light on a specific topic related to neutrality.
