Master florist and lecturer Philipp von Arx and mediator and illustrator Xenia Joss lead visitors in sketching during the exhibition. During the tour, participants capture their impressions on paper with just a few lines. They learn to observe consciously, quickly grasp proportions and capture the character of a motif with simple strokes: lively, reduced and entirely in the moment.

The workshop for young people and adults offers an inspiring mix of short inputs, guided exercises, an introduction to various drawing techniques and the targeted use of different lines. Step by step, participants gain confidence in using pen and paper – and develop a personal approach to what they see. In the second part, one of the sketches is further developed in the studio, e.g. with markers or watercolours.
