Following a visit to Klodin Erb’s exhibition, textile and fashion designer Mara Danz invites visitors to participate in a workshop in which textile objects are created.
The focus is on designing a personal bag – as a symbolic container for everything we carry with us: memories, thoughts, questions, breaks, desires. The bags are created by cutting, folding, sewing and knotting – not according to a fixed plan, but in an open process. As in Klodin Erb’s work, the focus here is on the moment of change – with room for intuition, transformation and spontaneous decisions.
Participants choose from a variety of materials: fabric remnants, printed textiles, transparent layers, cords, wool, fringes and zips are available. The workshop offers space for individual experiences with materials and space to explore the poetic, emotional and social power of textiles.
