The Aargauer Kunsthaus continues its exhibition series of young art with a presentation of the Bern- and Burgdorf-based artist Niklaus Wenger (b. 1978). In his artistic work Wenger shows a preference for construction materials, composing concrete casts of wooden structures into sculptural shapes that exude a both plain and painterly presence. As part of the CARAVAN series, Niklaus Wenger presents a group of concrete and plaster objects created specially for the exhibition, contrasting them with works of Zurich Concrete Art in a gallery reserved for the permanent display of the collection.
