Every summer, the upper and lower floors are redesigned with a selection of works from the museum. This gives the general public the opportunity to view more of the collection, which comprises around 21,000 paintings, drawings, photographs, videos, sculptures, and installations. Abstract art will dominate the museum rooms until mid-2026. In the second half of the year, well-known artists from Louise Catherine Breslau to Ferdinand Hodler and Caspar Wolf will once again enter into a sophisticated dialogue with 20th and 21st century art.
