Spring! All nature is stirring, budding, turning green and blooming, even at the Aargauer Kunsthaus. A popular success, Flowers to Art is yet again returning this year. For the fourth time already, outstanding Swiss master florists are showing their floral compositions side by side with a number of contemporary artworks from the collection. Their interpretations in fresh flowers encourage a sensual dialogue between art and flowers and, in doing so, allow new and unexpected access to well-known works.

In talks with artists, including Silvia Bächli, Thomas Flechtner, Andrea Heller and Karim Noureldin, representatives of the two disciplines pore on this interrelation of flowers and art. Art from nature can also be discovered in the museum’s outdoor area. Several guided tours with master florists and art historians a day as well as workshops are part of the programme as well.

Flowers to Art is a joint project of FLOWERS TO ARTS and the Aargauer Kunsthaus. The FLOWERS TO ARTS association aims to highlight the connection between floristry and art through cultural events.
