Video in Art
A collaboration between the Aargauer Kunsthaus and the Kunstmuseum Solothurn
18.1.–17.5.2026 at the Kunstmuseum Solothurn
Moving images are everywhere—on our screens, on social media, in the streets. What once began on flickering television screens, has developed into one of the most exciting forms of expression in contemporary art: video art breaks down boundaries, plays with perceptions and tells stories—sometimes poetically, sometimes radically. The two complementary exhibitions at the Aargauer Kunsthaus and the Kunstmuseum Solothurn show the mark that video art has left on Switzerland and on the two museums.
