Neutrality Model
Neutrality Model
In his work Wirtschaftslandschaft Davos (2001), artist Thomas Hirschhorn ruthlessly exposes the links between politics, business and local identity. With a foam moulded replica of the Davos mountain valley, peppered with miniature figures of military personnel, police officers and tanks, he combines art and criticism in his usual provocative manner. In this interview, we look back with Hirschhorn on the creation of his work and ask what it still has to say today about Switzerland and its supposed neutrality.
