What is a collection? And how does a curator work? In this workshop, students deepen their knowledge of what it’s like to work at a museum. In the interactive exhibition space Aargauer Kunsthaus Collection – DIY!, participants use digital images of artwork from the collection to create their own curating ideas. When they see the original in person, they experience how the artwork makes an impact through the direct encounter with its material presence. They learn how paintings used to be hung in the past and can playfully experiment with digitised works of art using the application, while the focus is on their own living environment, individual topics or their personal view.
