From realistic depictions to wild expressionist paintings to total abstraction, participants discover pictures from past centuries to the present day. They gain an insight into the differences in the preferred subjects, the materials used and the style of painting. In the studio, participants from cycle 2 onwards transform a copy of a collection work into an impressionist, expressionist or abstract masterpiece by painting over it.
