Light Sensitive
Photo Art from the Collection
Light Sensitive is an exhibition that focuses on the photographic works in the collection of the Aargauer Kunsthaus. It delves into the museum´s rich holdings of over 800 works employing photo technology, sounding out central themes. In the process, two thematic focus areas come to the fore: on the one hand an exploration of the human body and on the other an exmination of abstract, architectural or public space. In addition to works from the collection, the exhibition includes a series of large-scale cityscapes by Berlin-based Swiss artist Andreas Tschersich as well as works by Swiss artist Bianca Dugaro.
Included in the exhibition are works by, among others, Balthasar Burkhard, Nicolas Faure, Katrin Freisager, Heiner Kielholz, Urs Lüthi, Max Matter, Claudio Moser, Guido Nussbaum, Markus Raetz, Annelies Štrba, Beat Streuli, Hannah Villiger.
