Neutrality Model
NOTE: During Flowers to Art 2025 (4.3.-9.3.2025), admission to the exhibition Neutrality Model is only possible with a special admission with time slot. These are only available via advance booking (click here). A large number of visitors can be expected. We recommend a visit before or after this week.
Tracing the Neutrality Model, 14 artists shed light on the political and international law principle with their works. It quickly becomes clear that the understanding of neutrality in Switzerland is as diverse as our society itself. All the more reason why we need art to visualise the complexity of life.
From the battlefield of the Helvetii to the negotiation of the Lausanne Treaty and the World Economic Forum in Davos, the exhibition holds a mirror up to us in which we can take an in-depth look at the self-image of neutral Switzerland. The Aargauer Kunsthaus contributes to the discussion about our coexistence and offers different perspectives on our place in the world.

An opinion poll on neutrality can be conducted in the Kunsthaus Freiraum, which is accessible free of charge and presents the NEXPLORER project (a NEXPO initiative – the new Expo), among other things.
