Flowers to Art 2025
Every year, the Aargauer Kunsthaus and FLOWERS TO ARTS select works of art that are interpreted with flowers, leaves, grasses and branches to present them in all their splendour. Selected florists develop ideas that later touch thousands of people.

Advance Booking
How do I book an admission ticket?
All tickets are only available in advance. Please use our ticket shop or the advance booking office aarau info. There is no box office.
Tickets are only available for admission with a time slot or in conjunction with timed mediation offers.

When and for how long is admission with a time slot valid?
Admission with a time slot is only valid once and only at the specified time. Early or late admission is not possible.
Visitors can view the exhibitions individually after admission. Visitors who have booked a guided tour also have time to visit the exhibitions individually after the tour. It is not possible to enter several times with the same ticket.
I only want to see the exhibition ‘Neutrality Model ’, ‘Collection 25 I’ and/or ‘Marianne Kuhn. Collection in Focus’, can I just drop by?
No, admission to these exhibitions during the Flowers for Art 25 week must also be booked with a time slot via advance booking. Due to the increased number of visitors during this week, we recommend choosing an earlier or later time to visit these exhibitions.
Do I have to print out the ticket?
No, the ticket can also be shown on a smartphone.
Can I pay with TWINT?
Yes, payment with TWINT is possible. After paying with your TWINT app, please make sure you return to our webshop (change browser window/app), otherwise no order will be triggered.
Exchange + Return
Is it possible to exchange or refund my admission ticket with a time slot?
Unfortunately, it is not possible to exchange or refund a purchased ticket. We therefore ask you to only book an admission ticket with a time slot or a guided tour if you are sure that you will be able to attend the event. If guided tours, workshops or events are postponed, the ticket is automatically valid for the postponed date.
In the event of a definitive cancellation, you will be informed by e-mail about the further procedure.
Free Admission (Raiffeisen, Museum Pass)
Do I need a ticket if I have a Raiffeisen bank card, museum pass or other concessions?
A ticket booking via the ticket shop is mandatory, even for holders of vouchers, membership cards and other entitlements to reduced or free admission.
To purchase tickets, simply select the ticket category ‘Authorised free admission’.
Then show your ticket together with your proof of reduced or free admission at the ticket control on site (labelled ‘Ticketkontrolle’).
Who is entitled to free admission?
The following persons with ID are entitled to free admission:
- Members of the Aargauischer Kunstverein
- Recognised other art associations
- MemberPlus Raiffeisen
- Swiss Museum Pass, Museums-PASS-Musées
- ICOM, VMS, VKKS, SWB
- Sotheby’s Preferred Card
- Members of the City of Aarau Cultural Promotion Commission
- Artists with a visarte/IAA pass
- Media professionals with a press card
- Accompanying persons of people with an IV card
- Children and young people up to the age of 16
Please present your ID together with your ticket at the ticket office.
Vouchers
Are admission vouchers valid for visiting the exhibition?
The Blumen für die Kunst admission vouchers are valid indefinitely. Select the ticket category ‘Admission with voucher’ when purchasing.
Old admission vouchers worth CHF 17 can also be redeemed during the exhibition week. Choose a ticket in the ‘Admission with voucher’ category and pay an additional CHF 3 at the ticket control desk (labelled ‘Kundendienst’) on site.
Private Guided Tours
Do I need a ticket if I have booked a private tour?
No, for a private tour you do not need to buy a ticket in advance from the ticket shop or advance booking office. You report directly to the meeting point for groups at the entrance to the Kunsthaus and show your booking confirmation for your private tour. The admission tickets for your group will then be purchased on site.

Visit + Cloakroom
When can I visit the exhibition with a ticket for a guided tour, workshop or event?
Visitors to the guided tours, workshops and events can then walk through the exhibition individually during a time slot of an additional 30 minutes.
Where do I have to show my tickets on site?
Please show your tickets at the ticket control in the tent on Aargauerplatz. You will receive a coloured wristband for the corresponding time slot or mediation format. Admission to the Kunsthaus is only possible with the wristband.
Is it possible to visit the café in the Kunsthaus before the time slot?
No, unfortunately you can only enter the foyer, where the café is located, at the beginning of the time slot.
What size bags are allowed? Where can I find cloakrooms and lockers?
For conservation and safety reasons, it is not permitted to enter the exhibition rooms with bulky, wet or sharp objects such as umbrellas, rainwear, hiking, Nordic walking or other poles (with the exception of walking aids), large bags, rucksacks and luggage. Bags up to a size of DIN A5 (15 cm x 21 cm) may be taken on board. In case of doubt, the staff will decide. Please use our cloakroom and lockers. The staffed cloakroom is located in the tent, further lockers are in the unattended cloakroom in the Kunsthaus in the basement. There is no charge for the cloakroom and lockers.

Where can I park and where is the Aargauer Kunsthaus?

How do I get from the railway station to the Kunsthaus?
A 10-minute walk along the tracks towards the Behmen multi-storey car park or along Bahnhofstrasse in the direction of Olten.
Is it possible to park a bus near the Aargauer Kunsthaus?
One option would be to get off at the Rosengarten cemetery and walk through the Rathauspark to the Kunsthaus. This is not far from the Kunsthaus. The bus can then drive to Feerstrasse, where there are bus parking spaces that can be used for 3 hours. It is of course also possible for participants to get off at Feerstrasse and walk to the Kunsthaus.
Photography
Is photography permitted during the exhibition week?
Photography without flash is permitted for private purposes (exceptions are labelled). Tripods and selfie sticks are not permitted. Large photo bags and interchangeable lenses must be deposited in the lockers. In case of doubt, the staff will decide. Professional photography and filming require permission from the Communications Department

When is the Aargauer Kunsthaus and Basil Café open during Flowers to Art 2025?
Tuesday to Friday 9 am to 8 pm
Saturday to Sunday 9am to 6pm
Who takes reservations in the café during this week?
Please contact us in good time for table reservations.
Accessibility
Can I take my dog with me?
Dogs – with the exception of guide dogs – cannot be taken into the Kunsthaus. Please book your visit with guide dogs in advance during the week.
Can I book a wheelchair?
We are happy to accept reservations in advance. Please note that only one wheelchair is available for hire.
