These grants are essentially awards: the originality and independence of the work are central to the jury’s evaluation. Additional criteria include the continuity of the artist’s body of work to date and their potential for development.

Applications for the Auswahl can be submitted through the Aargauer Kuratorium’s application portal by August 17, 2026. As part of Auswahl, professional artists can also apply for the annual art grants.
