In 1967, seven artists founded the Ziegelrain studio collective in Aarau, which gained prominence far beyond the cantonal capital in the 1970s. The members pursued their own projects without committing to a shared agenda, yet together they played a part in the artistic renaissance of Swiss art during those years. A panel discussion and a look at the SIKART Lexicon shed light on this special place of artistic freedom and on the artistic personalities who shaped it.
