Artificial Creativity
In the first room, pupils see their own image as a fantastical creature in a fascinating world through an interactive video installation. In the following exhibition rooms, the classes view further works: here, an AI creates abstract portraits of the visitors; there, in AI-generated black-and-white videos, people appear to merge with hairy creatures. The classes discuss the associations the works evoke or take part in a playful sketching exercise.
In the studio, classes from Cycle 2 (Year 5) onwards draw their own faces and create the background using paper collage. In a second step, the analogue sketches are revised and altered using AI. For Cycle 1 classes, the focus is on engaging with works from the collection. In the studio, the classes create their own pictures from pieces of paper, thereby replicating the process of image-generating AI in an analogue way.
Please note: The workshop for Cycle 1 can be booked until 8 November 2026.
