Augusto Giacometti
The exhibition introduces participants to Augusto Giacometti’s diverse oeuvre. Large-format paintings depict atmospheric lighting moods, floral still lifes, landscapes or mosaic-like colour tones and allow visitors to immerse themselves in Augusto Giacometti’s world of colour. On the tour, the classes discover stained glass and designs for monumental murals that the artist was able to realise as commissioned works. The work observations are supplemented with background information on the artist and his working methods.
Educational islands in the exhibition
Various information islands are distributed throughout the exhibition. These offer visitors low-threshold access to in-depth information about Giacometti’s work and biography. The information stations are designed to appeal to different age groups through different levels, stages of participation and multimedia contributions. The offers of the information islands were designed for individual visits, but some of them can also be tried out with a group.
